TASTE
N. 5: A Unique Observatory On Matters Of Taste
From 13 to 15 March 2010 at The Stazione Leopolda in Florence
3 Days of Sampling, Discovering, Buying, Events and a Focus
on Lifestyles and The City Aglow with the Fuoriditaste Program
Taste.
In viaggio con le diversità del gusto is the fair of
tastes and ideas produced by Pitti Immagine at the Stazione
Leopolda, the next edition will be held from 13 to 15 March
2010. It is a unique tour dedicated to excellence and biodiversities
in food in our global era.
TASTE is the fruit of the
cooperation between Pitti Immagine and Davide Paolini - gastronaut,
and writer-journalist specialized in gastronomic culture. TASTE
is held every March at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence and,
through innovative approaches to nutrition, esthetics and lifestyle,
it presents a contemporary interpretation of wine-food culture
in today's society: with taste as a value that traverses our
era.
Taste
- now in its fifth edition - is totally different from other
events on the international wine-food scene: the 5 sections
or stages of the fair offer a unique vantage point for observing
what's happening.
Taste
Tour: the original voyage of discovery where you can
taste the exhibitors' products and become better acquainted
with our country's gastronomic treasures;
Taste
Tools: this section showcases kitchen design and utensils,
as well as technical and professional equipment and clothing
all linked to the world of good cooking and good eating
Taste
Press: is a selection of magazines and publishing projects
dedicated to wine and food;
Taste
Shop: the exclusive store where visitors get a chance
to buy what they have seen and tasted during the tour - call
it a "food specialty store".
Taste
Ring: interesting and even daring debates on foods
and beverages, meetings of the key players in contemporary food/wine
culture, the cultural-gastronomic arena that deals with the
hottest lifestyle issues related to...taste.
There
will be over 170 exhibitors selected from the best in Italy
specializing in exquisite products: from black truffle velouté,
to chocolates made with Parmigiano Reggiano, Prunilli tomato
puree flavored with Spanish clover honey, from dry egg pasta
hand-drawn through bronze dies to hams baked in Medieval ovens,
to aged buffalo milk cheese to jams enhanced with balsamic vinegar
to taggiasche olive marmalade.
During
the course of its several editions, Taste has evolved into a
taste salon where the finest Italian and international operators
in the field of high quality foods get together, as well as
an attraction for the large - over 8,000 visitors - and demanding
audience of quality food enthusiasts, that draws the attention
of the press and TV networks.

FUORIDITASTE:
TASTE EVENTS LIGHT UP THE CITY
It's called Fuoriditaste and it is the program of off-fair events,
with a calendar of wine-and-food happenings that involve the
city of Florence and its restaurants, delicatessen and food
stores, boutiques, art galleries, theaters and museums.
The first edition of Fuoriditaste
that featured over 40 events in just as many fabulous venues
throughout the city met with a resounding critical success and
public acclaim.
Florence has now established
itself as one of the true homes of tradition, production and
contemporary experiences in taste, food and quality living.
